expense动词和形容词是什么

expense本身就可做动词，其意思是向…收取费用，其形容词为：expensive，例如：

1、I thought it was understood that my expenses would be paid.我原以为对方已同意支付我的费用。

2、No expense was spared to make the party a success.为使聚会成功多大费用都在所不惜。

3、The new office block has become an expensive white elephant.这座新办公大楼成了昂贵的摆设。
